Settings

Open the settings panel with the gear icon in the header or ⌘, (Ctrl+, on Windows). App-wide settings and per-project settings are grouped in the settings sidebar.

Local analysis and cross-checking in AI Importer

• Initial setup — Open Settings → AI Importer → Install / Manage… to install local ML. It requires Python 3.10–3.12 (3.12 recommended), about 2 GB for the environment, and about 460 MB of models. Intel Macs are not supported. Follow any missing-dependency instructions in the environment check, then enable Use Local ML.
• Update or retry model downloads — If an older environment reports that an update is needed, use Reinstall. If only the model download failed, use Fetch models to resume without reinstalling the environment. Installed local analysis can run offline; the data-processing AI used by AI Importer still has separate network and cost requirements.
• Tempo source — Choose Auto, This computer (All-in-one), or Cloud (Music.AI). If the selected analysis is unavailable, the screen explains why and uses the available source. To use cloud tempo, choose a mode that runs cloud analysis, such as Hybrid or Cloud Analysis.
• Cross-check lyric timing on this computer — Optionally enable this in Cloud Analysis mode (off by default; requires local ML). Lines that differ from local alignment by more than 0.75 seconds are marked Needs Review; the accepted timing remains the cloud timing. It uses no additional credits but adds local processing time.

Settings for this device

• Zoom anchors — In Basic settings → Timeline, keyboard zoom uses the mouse pointer by default, with edit cursor and playback position as alternatives. Wheel zoom defaults to playback position, with the mouse pointer as an alternative.
• Memory Locations — Set pre-roll and a 0–5 second playback fade after a jump.
• Image preloading — Choose Off, Lookahead (default), or All images. Lookahead decodes images ahead of the current progress so they are ready before the page appears.
• Rendering compatibility — If previous text remains partially visible after rapid page changes, try Disable partial raster in Basic settings. It takes effect after restarting CueFlow.
• Numeric fields — Enter, Tab, or moving focus commits a value; Esc cancels it. Supported time fields accept seconds or minute:second notation such as 1:23.5.

Resident Mode for unattended operation

View → Resident Mode Settings… opens a separate window. At startup, it opens a chosen project, enables LTC receive and Chase, starts the prompter server, and opens the chosen view fullscreen on the chosen display.

• Startup setup — Choose a local .cueflow file, view, and display, then save the settings. Network-share paths are not supported. Installed builds can launch at OS login, and you can prevent display sleep.
• Check before use — Run startup sequence now tests saved settings without restarting. Check the startup stage, LTC, playback state, and heartbeat.
• Status and remote control — The status page uses port 17330 by default. LAN access and remote controls are optional; LAN commands require the access token shown in the settings tool.
• Recovery and permissions — A newer auto save for the chosen project is restored automatically. Read-only cloud participants skip LTC / Chase setup and wait with the display only. Automatic chase requires editing permission and a supported plan.

Language

The UI is available in Japanese and English and switches instantly without a restart; the menu bar is rebuilt in the selected language too. The website and this manual share the same two languages.

Device name and cloud account

Set this machine’s device name under Basic settings → Cloud Collaboration. Account profile settings also appear when using a cloud-enabled license. The device name is auxiliary information shown to other members during cloud co-editing. Your co-editing display name comes from your cloud account; the device name is appended as “· device name” in member lists. Names like “FOH main” or “backup laptop” make devices easy to tell apart.

Cloud account display name, icon, and email

With a cloud-enabled license, set your display name, emoji avatar, and color under Basic settings → Cloud Collaboration. Free-account users and guests edit their profiles from the account or guest menu in the header. Profiles belong to the account rather than to one device and appear in project member lists and comments.

Email changes apply to the registered address of a cloud-enabled license. Request a change using the button beside the registered email in Plan & License, or the cloud account settings under Basic settings. A confirmation email arrives at the new address. The registered address stays as it was until you open that link within 24 hours. Because the confirmation goes to the new address, you can finish the change from this screen even when the old mailbox is gone — after leaving a company or retiring a domain. Once confirmed, a notice also reaches the previous address, and an unrecognized change can be undone from it within 14 days. Full steps in Organizations & Plans →

Checking for updates

• Update check — Use Check update on the About tab to find the latest version and download/install it without opening the website.
• Update channel — Choose Public (stable, recommended, default) or Developer (beta / early builds).
• Release notes — Before updating you can review the changes between your version and the latest; the first launch after updating shows what was applied.
• Signature verification — Only updates whose manifest passes Ed25519 signature verification are ever applied.
• Diagnostics — Update diagnostics (manifest URL, feed trust state, etc.) appear only when you expand “Show diagnostics”.
• Version & app info — The “Version & updates” and “App info” sections show the current version, channel, and build details.

Cloud settings and local copies

Cloud projects open without choosing a local file. When opened, they are also saved on this machine, and CueFlow reuses that local copy the next time you open the same project.

• “Saved locally” badge — In the cloud project list, projects that are also saved on this machine carry a “saved locally” badge.
• Remove from this device — “Remove from this device” deletes only this machine’s copy. The cloud data remains and is downloaded again the next time you open the project. The currently open project cannot be removed.
• Cloud account — With a cloud-enabled license, edit your profile under Basic settings → Cloud Collaboration. Free-account users and guests use the account or guest menu in the header. See the account section above for email-change eligibility and steps.
